Stacy and Dusty’s wedding was an action-packed day of laughs and love. Our day started with Stacy in the Delta Guelph Hotel where hair and makeup were underway. We all relaxed and had a good time while the girls prepared for the day ahead with some drinks and music. Ricardo made his way to the groomsmen to sneak some behind the scenes photos of Dusty and the boys getting ready. Dusty hand made a camouflage vest for his father-in-law that was stitched to perfection and proudly worn all day.
The ceremony took place in the front of the Hanlon Convention Centre. The hallway was lined with white chairs that seated friends and family. The flowers adorning the front by Bethany, Shades of Green, were a beautiful navy blue and white matching the Puma sneakers Stacy sported down the aisle.
We did not have to go far to find a beautiful location for formal photos. There was a field full of bright yellow dandelions right behind the convention center. This was a happy surprise that brought colour and life into the photographs that day. The forecast had called for rain but luckily held off for our photographs. Near the end, we were able to capture some amazing storm clouds thanks to Ricardo’s signature environmental portraits.
The reception was held in the banquet hall of the Hanlon Convention Centre where smiles and laughs were shared by all. The speeches were hilarious and heartfelt. A personal favourite was the tower of cupcakes in lieu of a traditional cake. They came with customized “to go” boxes so everyone could bring them home for a midnight snack. The dance floor was packed and the beats were bumping. We had a blast capturing some traditional and creative party photos near the end of the night.
It was a beautiful day full of love and laughter. Ricardo and I were beyond happy to be invited to capture the memories that were made.
