Ashley began her preparations in her home surrounded by friends and close family. Her hair was adorned with sunflowers and her dress was laced up with camo ribbon. She slipped on her cowboy boots and relaxed with the girls while they prepared for the day. Don and the boys prepared at a nearby hotel. They laced up their steel-toed boots and fastened their shotgun shell boutonnieres. After some drinks and a quick detour to the beer store, everyone met up at Chicopee Ski Resort for the ceremony. Before the ceremony, Ashley and Don met for a secret look. Don stood blindfolded in the trees while Ashley walked over to share in one last private moment before they were to walk down the aisle.  The ceremony was outdoors in a secluded forest of pine trees that swayed gently in the breeze. The aisle was lined with baby’s breath, the archway built out of natural wood. Here they exchanged written vows of love, beer, and fishing. After the ceremony, we took some family photos before heading off with Ashley and Don for some private wedding photos. We adventured through the forest, around the lake, and up to the clubhouse. Stopping to snap some photos near a massive pile of cut wood which accented the country aesthetic of the wedding. The reception took place at Chicoppee Tube park, just down the road from the ski resort. The hall was decorated with twinkle lights, sunflowers, and shotgun shells. After some loving speeches from family and friends, Ashley and Don shared their first dance as husband and wife. After some more laughter and loving tears, everyone settled down for a buffet styled dinner. A unique feature at this wedding was a full pig roast! prepared outside during the speeches and brought in for dinner. This was a delicious and unique twist that was enjoyed by all. After the formalities were finished, everyone retired to the dance floor and danced the night away. It was an energetic crowd full of smiles and fantastic dance moves. We had a blast dancing along and capturing some candid moments during the after-hours portion of the reception. In all, this wedding was a unique and heartwarming day full of personal touches, family, and friends. We were absolutely honored to capture this day for Ashley and Don, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them both as they start this new chapter in their life.
